1. Purpose

This Policy describes how long 1Biz retains personal and Business data associated with the Platform, based on current product implementation.

2. Active accounts

While the account and Business are active, we retain data needed to operate features you use, including account, business profile, Customer Content, jobs, invoices, documents, photos, team records, usage counters, and Subscription status.

3. Account deletion

Deletion triggers our delete-account process, which attempts to cancel Stripe Subscriptions for owned Businesses and delete the auth user, cascading associated Business data as implemented.

Backups, logs, or payment records may persist for a limited period for security, fraud prevention, accounting, or legal compliance. As implemented today, we do not publish a separate multi-year automated purge calendar; operational backup/log windows are limited to what our providers and systems retain for normal operations (typically measured in weeks to months, not indefinite active use). Where we can state a firmer window after operational confirmation, we will update this Policy.

Before deleting, export any needed records from the Platform where export features are available; after deletion, recovery is not guaranteed.

4. Customer payment records

Stripe retains payment records under Stripe’s policies. 1Biz retains invoice and payment status information while the Business account exists and thereafter as needed for disputes/compliance.

5. Communications and AI usage counters

Email/automation event records and AI/send usage counters are retained while the account is active and for a reasonable period after for abuse prevention and support, then deleted or anonymized with the account where implemented.

6. No separate multi-year purge schedule

As of the Master Spec freeze date, 1Biz does not implement an additional published automated purge calendar (e.g., “delete inactive data after X years”) beyond active retention and deletion requests. If we add one, we will update this Policy and the Privacy Policy.

7. Coming Soon data stores

Schemas related to Coming Soon features (e.g., crew location pings, contracts, QuickBooks connections) are not customer promises; if enabled later, retention rules will be updated before launch.
